In Romania, more than 780 kilometers of highways and express roads are being constructed.
According to data from the National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR), currently, 781.38 kilometers of highways and express roads are under construction in Romania, of which 263.43 kilometers are in the planning phase and 517.95 kilometers are in the execution phase.
Development of the A0 highway: - Section 3 between South-Bragadiru and Joiţa (17.965 km) is in the execution phase. - Section 1 between North-Joiţa and Corbeanca (17.5 km) is in the planning phase. - Section 3 between North-Afumaţi and Pantelimon (8.60 km) is under construction. - Section 4 between North-Pantelimon and Glina (4.47 km) is also under construction.
The A1 highway projects: - The Bojca-Cornetu (31.33 km) and Cornetu-Tigveni (37.40 km) sections are in the planning phase. - The Tigveni-Curtea de Argeş (9.86 km) and Curtea de Argeş-Piteşti (30.35 km) sections are under construction. - Parts E and D of the highway section 2 between Lugos and Déva, measuring 9.13 km, are also being constructed.
Developments on the North Transylvania (A3) highway: - The sections between Magyarnádas and Nádasszentmihály (16.80 km), Nádasszentmihály and Magyarzsombor (13.26 km), and Magyarzsombor and Vaskapu (12.24 km) are under construction. - The section between Berettyószéplak and Bisztraterebes (26.35 km) is in the planning phase. - The Bisztraterebes-Bihar section has received a planning contract.
Development of the A7 highway: - 320 km are under construction between Ploieşti and Paşcani. The ongoing planning phases for A8 sections: - The section between Marosvárhely and Nyárádszereda (24.4 km). - The section between Leghin and Târgu Neamţ (29.9 km). These developments significantly contribute to the modernization of Romania's transportation infrastructure and the economic development of their surrounding areas.
